About Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj
Shivaji Maharaj was born in 1630 in the fortified city of Shivneri, near Pune. He was the son of Shahaji Bhosale, a Maratha nobleman, and Jijabai, a devout and strong-willed woman.
